Find distributors that fit your product

Start with who can get your product to the right customers.

Choose the role you need

An importer, wholesaler, agent and retailer may do different jobs. Describe who should hold stock, resell and manage the customer relationship. If you want direct end customers, use a different buyer definition.

Write a brief that can guide the search

Illustrative example: We manufacture reusable containers for professional kitchens. Find independent UK distributors that sell kitchen equipment to restaurants and hotels. Prioritise a relevant business product range. Exclude consumer-only retailers, manufacturers of competing containers and existing partners. Treat warehouse capacity and willingness to add a product as questions to confirm.

Review three different kinds of result

The same product keyword can lead to very different businesses. These are hypothetical review decisions, not real prospects.

Discover broadly, assess specifically

Directories, trade associations and exhibitions can provide starting points. Follow them to the company's own product and market pages. Save the specific observation supporting the match, not just a directory category.

Confirm what public information cannot establish

Ask potential partners about priorities, capacity, terms and interest. Check the product's market and contractual requirements before entering a partnership. Public research does not replace those steps. The International Trade Administration distinguishes finding possible partners, due diligence and introductions.

Do the research yourself or have the list prepared

Use the worksheet for your own research. If you want the company selection done for you, put the same criteria into a lead package. The service delivers research and available contact routes. We do not contact distributors or negotiate the partnership for you.

Common questions

What matters before you start.

Is a distributor the same as a customer?

A distributor may buy for resale or work under another arrangement. Describe the role you need so the list does not mix channel partners with end buyers.

What do you need to start?

Describe your product, country, end buyer and the distributor role you need. Include existing partners and companies to exclude.

Do you confirm that a distributor wants to work with us?

No. Research can establish a possible fit. You confirm interest and terms directly.

Describe the customers you want to find.

We do the research and deliver a lead package as PDF, CSV, and a ready email draft.
